Field Trips

We will be going off campus for some enrichment activities this school year. These trips are designed to enrich and complement the learning in the classroom.

Our first Field Trip of the year will be September 26, 2016, Monday to the South Bellevue Community Center! It will be a great opportunity for team building!

*****Each fall, we start the school year with a field trip to the South Bellevue Community Center for a middle school team building experience on the ropes challenge course.

6th and 7th graders will be led through activities on the low ropes course while the 8th graders will be challenging themselves on the high ropes course.

Our trip is scheduled for Monday, September 26.  We will leave school by 8:45 a.m. and return by 3 p.m.  Each student needs to bring a snack and a sack lunch, and wear clothing appropriate for the weather and the activities,  and that also meets the requirements for a free dress day as outlined in the student handbook.

Each student must have a signed permission slip and waiver form.  Please return these by the first day of school.  These permission slips went out in the August mailings.

There is an additional liability release from the city of Bellevue that must be returned also.  Please return them as soon as possible. You can return them earlier by dropping them off at the school office during business hours.

The cost for 6th and 7th grade students is $35.  For 8th graders, the fee is included in the special 8th grade activity fee.  Please include the fee with the permission slip and waiver.  Please contact the school office or your student’s homeroom teacher if finances are an issue.

We are looking for parents who would like to drive and/or serve as chaperones.  Please note that chaperones will not be participating in the activities with the students.  If you wish to volunteer, please check the box on the permission slip.

We will be counting on your help to chaperone these events and carpool for us.  Please stop by the office and make sure you have a background check on file, as well as a proof of insurance form on file.  When both of these are in place, we’ll be ready to go!

Parents are given a separate field trip Permission Slip to sign before each field trip, so you will always know when we plan to take your child off campus.    The slip will detail whether or not your child needs to bring a lunch, the times of departure and return, as well as the date and location of our trip.

Thank you!   We really appreciate your time!
